- RECOVERY - PER FAR 5.7 THIS NOTICE IS PROVIDED FOR INFORMATION PURPOSES ONLY; THEREFORE FAR 5.203 DOES NOT APPLY. THIS OPPORTUNITY WAS AVAILABLE ONLY TO CONTRACTOR JOSE PEREIRA ENGINEERING AND MECHANICAL UNDER THE CURRENT CONTRACT NUMBER: N62473-09-C-1241 REPAIR HVAC AT DUNCAN MESSHALL DINING FACILITY. The Contractor shall provide all labor, materials and equipment necessary to perform the work described herein at the Marine Corps Recruit Depot (MCRD). Work includes but is not limited to: 1. Abandon the existing domestic waste vent, install new waste piping and repair floor. 2. Remove and replace the domestic water piping. 3. Provide new high efficiency air distribution system including exhaust & supply fans, new ductwork on roof with appropriate connections to existing ventilated areas of facility. Clean ductwork, test and balance the system. 4. Drain and remove (2) 1,130 GAL hot water storage tanks. Provide and install new hot water storage tanks. Remove and provide new steam piping from valve. 5. Renovate (1) men's restroom and (1) women's restroom on the mess deck, and renovate the combination restroom/locker rooms for the kitchen staff to meet ADA standards. 6. Paint the interior walls in the mess deck. The renovation work shall be sequenced and coordinated with MCRD Facilities Staff to minimize disruption to normal day to day operations in the obstacle course. "This acquisition to support the Navy/Marine Corps mission was awarded sole source to an 8(a) certified firm in accordance with FAR 6.302-5(4), the 8(a) Program."
