Description
The Southern Arizona VA Health Care System, Tucson, AZ 85723 intends to negotiate a firm fixed-price contract with Datex-Ohmeda/GE, 3030 Ohmeda Dr, Madison, WI 53718 on a sole source basis pursuant to FAR 6.302-1, Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirement. The acquisition will be accomplished using commercial item procedures in accordance with FAR Part 12 for the purchase of annual maintenance the following, Aestiva/5 7900 Anesthesia equipment (11). The contractor will be required to provide service under the normal business hours and must be certified by Datex-Ohmeda/GE to provide any maintenance to the equipment. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) is 334510. Any firms who wish to identify their interests and capability to provide this service must provide proof that authorization from the manufacturer has been attained by notifying the Contracting Officer no later than 3:00 PM local, September 24, 2009. Such notification must include any documentation that includes certifications and description of services that meets or exceeds the capabilities of the manufacturer. Notifications shall be mailed or emailed to Carlos Acosta (678/9-90C), Contracting Officer, 3601 S 6th Ave, Tucson, AZ 85723 or carlos.acosta2@va.gov. Upon receipt of any such notifications, the Contracting Officer will determine whether to conduct a competitive procurement or proceed with sole source negotiations. Responses received will be evaluated, however; a determination by the Government not to compete the proposed procurement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. If no responses are received, the Southern Arizona VA Health Care System will proceed with the sole source negotiation with Datex-Ohmeda/GE. This notice is not request for competitive proposals or quotes.
