Manufacturer: Oplink Solutions, Inc Justification for Sole Source Only: The service for repair of the Model HP-8340A Synthesized Sweeper and the HP8673D Signal Generator is essential for continual operation of the ALR-56M Hot Mock-Up Bench Tester and the ALM-2058 Test Set. These Test Stations directly supports the EW workload in the MIFWN Shop in the repair process of the F-15 Electronics. Any delay in establishing the Service Contract could result in a work stoppage. Other vendors have been used in the past, however, repaired items were returned to vendors for further test repair and calibration because they would not meet Government specifications or technical order requirements. Due to the age and condition and hard to get parts, Oplink Solutions, Inc is the best known source that can perform the Government's requirement for repair of the HP-8340A and HP-8378D.
