- This is a sources sought synopsis for acquisition planning purposes. No formal solicitation for this work exists at this time. All qualified concerns may submit capability statements for consideration. Capability statements received will be reviewed to determine the technical, administrative, and management capability of such offerors to perform this type of work. Your responses to the information requested will assist the Government in determining the appropriate acquisition method, including whether a set-aside is possible. The Bureau of Reclamation has a requirement for the demolition and legal disposal of trailers, washroom/bathroom facility, various concreted slabs, landscaping, electrical and light poles, water spigots, miscellaneous trash and debris. Once the trailers, structures, and associated appurtenances have been demolished and removed, the disturbed ground shall be graded level to match the surrounding landscape. This project is located on the North Shore RV Park near Mecca, California, on the east shore of the Salton Sea. Work will also include removal and proper disposal of asbestos as identified in an Asbestos and Lead Paint Inspection Report prepared by the Bureau of Reclamation. The report will be available for contractors when a solicitation is issued. The proposed contract will be a firm-fixed price Construction contract with an estimated performance period of 180 calendar days. The estimated total contract value is between $250,000.00 - $500,000.00. The anticipated North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) for this acquisition is 238910 Site Preparation Contractors, size standard of $14.0M. Contractors may propose another NAICS code that better identifies the work to be performed. A statement with their proposed NAICS code should be documented in their capability statement. This sources sought notice is solely for the Governments use as a market research tool. If a solicitation is released in connection to this requirement, vendors must be actively registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) database to be eligible for an award. Firms can register via the CCR internet site at http://www.ccr.gov. Potential vendors must also complete their online representations and certifications. Capability statements are to be submitted not later than October 2, 2009. The capabilities package submitted by a vendor should demonstrate the firm's ability, capability, and responsibility to perform the work listed above. Packages should include the following information: (1)Business name, address, business size and type, (8(a), HUBZone, Service Disabled Veteran, Small Business, Large Business, etc.), (2)Point of Contact to include e-mail address and telephone number; (3)Demonstrate the firm's relevant experience by providing a list of actual jobs completed within the past five years in which your firm completed similar work. Additionally, for each job listed, provide the following: a brief description of the work performed, project title, dollar value of the job, the company name, location, and the customer's contact name and phone number for the work completed. (4)Bonding capacity for projects of this type and magnitude. (5)Capability Statements shall not exceed five pages in length.
