- Description
- The Strategic Systems Programs has awarded a sole source contract to Imes, Inc. to procure Crane Monitoring Systems & Services. The Crane Monitoring System consists of an integrated, real-time system of continuously monitoring, analyzing, and evaluating acoustic emissions and other physical data from critical explosive handling cranes. The system includes acoustic emissions sensors, physical condition sensors, data gathering, transmitting, processing, displaying, and storage facilities utilized to provide real-time monitoring and display of crane physical operations, conditions, and critical limits. The system is an essential baseline component of a Risk & Reliability Based Crane Management Program. Imes, Inc. is the singular firm which has the requisite knowledge, experience, application technology, and capability to provide a real-time system based on acoustic emissions fulfilling this requirement.
