- Description
- The Department of the Army, Mission Installation Contracting Command- Center, at Fort Bragg, NC, intends to award a sole source contract to Meggitt Training Systems, Inc, 296 Brogdon Road, Suwanee, Georgia 30024. This action is being procured under the authority of FAR 13.106(b)(1), due to the proprietary information and data only available to the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM). The contractor shall upgrade the DP62 Mobile Armor Training System (MATs) (which currently operates on an ERETS range with a CIC target interface (model RZ6) and RETS control computer to the current control standard (including 2400 baud VHF communications) and replace the RZ6 with a TRACR compatible interface (model RZ7) at Fort Bragg, North Carolina. Meggitt Training Systems, Inc. is the OEM and is the only known source that can provide the upgrade kit which includes software/firmware to the DP62 MATs. This notice is not a request for quotations. No solicitation document is available and telephone requests will not be honored. If you feel your firm possesses the ability to provide these services, you must respond by demonstrating you firms technical capability to meet the requirement. If no affirmative written response is received, the service will be awarded without further notice.
