- Description
- Request for Information/Special Notice PLEASE NOTE THAT THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS. This request for information supports market research being conducted by Program Executive Office (PEO) Soldier, Fort Belvoir, Virginia to determine potential sources for commercially available Soldier related equipment (i.e. Anything the Soldier wears or carries: weapons, clothing and equipment, sensors and lasers, C4I, batteries, etc). PEO Soldier considers the Soldier as a System and encourages any industry to provide their technical information following those principles. Interested parties who believe they can meet the requirements should request a date and time to meet with representatives of PEO Soldier during the upcoming AUSA conference being held in Washington, DC from 5-7 October 2009. Responses/requests for date/time may only be sent via e-mail to sarah.wardak@us.army.mil. Information received as a result of this notice will be considered solely for the purpose of market research. Submission of information does not guarantee this requirement will result in an Army procurement. All emails shall be submitted to the point of contact listed above no later than September 30, 2009. Late submissions of interest will not be considered for this request for information. This is a combined Sources Sought Synopsis and Request for Information (RFI). All responsible businesses, including small businesses, are encouraged to respond to this RFI. This synopsis is for planning purposes only and neither constitutes a Request for Proposal (RFP), nor does it restrict the Government to an ultimate acquisition approach. This synopsis should not be construed as a commitment by the Government for any purpose. Participation in the RFI does not result in any responding vendors being placed on a list; if any contracting opportunities arise from this RFI, it is solely the vendors' responsibility to monitor for these opportunities. Note that this program is oriented directly to dismounted soldiers and not to specific platforms such as vehicles and aircraft. The overall concept for this effort is that industry (foreign and domestic) is invited to provide technical data (ONLY technical data for Soldier related items described above) at their chosen/hosted location during the upcoming AUSA conference in Washington, DC on 5-7 October 2009. Questions should be addressed to sarah.wardak@us.army.mil. An answer will be provided by return e-mail and all questions and answers will be posted on the FedBizOpps site. It is the responsibility of industry to monitor www.fedbizopps.gov for the release of any follow-on information. Any information submitted by respondents to this synopsis is strictly voluntary. The Government will not pay for any information that is submitted by respondents to this sources sought synopsis. Contracting Office Address: Place of Performance: AUSA, Washington, DC, Convention Center. The location of the briefing is to be hosted by vendor responding to this RFI. PEO Soldier will not host any briefings. Primary Point of Contact: Ms. Sarah Wardak, 703-704-3328, sarah.wardak@us.army.mil
