Description

SPAWARSYSCEN Atlantic intends to issue a sole source contract, in accordancewith the procedures of FAR 13.5 and FAR 6.302-1, only one responsible source,to Hewlett Packard (HP), 8890 McGraw road, Suite 100, Columbia, MD 21045-4778 for Itanium Blade Servers and EVA disk subsystems for the Military Healthsystem. This equipment is currently onsite. It was provided on a temporarybasis at no charge for the purposes of testing.The equipment contains proprietary hardware and software architecture andconfigurations that will work with the Government's existing Composite HealthCare System (CHCS) application. HP is the only provider of equipment that willwork with CHCS. As the equipment has been provided by HP already, HPresellers and/or distributors will not be able to provide it. A commercial,firm-fixed-price type contract is anticipated. This is a one time purchase. Theapplicable North American Industry ClassificationSystem (NAICS) code is 334119, and the size standard is 1000 employees.The Small Business Administration nonmanufacturing rule applies. This noticeof intent is not a request for competitive proposals.
