- Description
- Naval Air Systems Command intends to issue, on a sole source basis to BAE SYSTEMS of Green Lawn, NY, a follow-on contract for FY11-FY15, for the procurement of AN/UPX-37 and AN/UPX-41 Digital Interrogator (DI) production units, Mode 5 retrofit kits, related technical documentation, training, logistics, and technical engineering support. BAE SYSTEMS is the sole designer, developer, and original equipment manufacturer, including associated software of the AN/UPX-41 and AN/UPX-37. This synopsis is for informational purposes only. 19. The statutory authority permitting other than full and open competition is Title 10 U.S.C. 2304 (c)(1) as implemented by the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 6.302-1, only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. See Note 22 – NAVAIR SYNOPSIS NO. 20063-09 See Note 26 –Government does not intend to use FAR Part 12 for the acquisition.
