- Description
- We are still awaiting approval on acquisition planning documents, no solicitation exists at this time. I estimate a November solicitation. Please note the new contact, Mariett Lane, who will be replacing Melissa Keene. Update your contact information accordingly. The purpose of this update is to provide a link to a new information sharing website here: http://www.logcom.usmc.mil/contracts/solicit/M67004-09-R-0011/M67004-09-R-0011.zip That link will allow you to download a.zip file (I'd prefer just to have a click-through folder structure, but there are some constraints on how we run our website, so for now you will have to download the whole shebang everytime I updated one document) containing the most updated draft solicitation and historical information, along with having a valuable Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) with some detailed explanations of some of the parts of this program that seem to be the most confusing to people. Make sure you read the "Read Me First" section and the table of contents. It also contains the latest draft Performance Work Statement and Performance Requirements Summary, along with a draft provisions and clauses section that covers (in very rough draft form) some of the mechanisms we expect to use in the contract. Also new is a historical transactions listing containing all individual transactions covered by this program since inception. It is the best historical information we can provide about trends, levels of work by location/item, which items have the most Over & Above work, etc. It will require some work to make sense of it, for example you will have to decode the DODAACs in the document numbers to determine turn-in locations, and not all NSNs on the old contract will be on the new contract and vice versa. Again, it is not a guarantee or even necessarily an accurate predictor of the future workload, because usage levels may have related to operational tempo, deployment/redeoployment cycles, or other information that is not reflected in the table, but it is the best historical information we will be able to provide. I am not necessarily seeking feedback on any of this information, as many of the drafts are still rough. Mainly I hope it enhances your understanding of what you are likely to see when the solicitation goes out. However, if you want to comment on something (especially gaps or confusing parts, or obvious errors), you're welcome to send me an email. Finally: NO SOLICITATION DOCUMENT EXISTS AT THIS TIME. ANY ACTION BY ANY PARTY IN RESPONSE TO THIS SHARING OF INFORMATION IS FOR PLANNING PURPOSES ONLY AND IS NOT TO BE CONSTRUED AS A COMMITMENT BY THE GOVERNMENT TO PROCURE ANY ITEMS/SERVICES, NOR FOR THE GOVERNMENT TO PAY FOR WORK PERFORMED OR OTHER ACTIONS TAKEN. NO ENTITLEMENT TO PAYMENT OF DIRECT OR INDIRECT CHARGES BY THE GOVERNMENT WILL ARISE AS A RESULT OF ACTIONS TAKEN IN RESPONSE TO THIS INFORMATION. NO INFORMATION POSTED HERE IS PART OF AN OFFICIAL SOLICITATION UNLESS EXPLICITLY INCORPORATED BY REFERENCE IN ANY FUTURE SOLICITATION.
