- Description
- The Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) has awarded a sole source contract to Orbital Sciences Corporation, 3380 South Price Road, Chandler, AZ for Pacific Facility site Activation (PMRF). Orbital Sciences Corporation shall provide support to assist the Navy in the activation of the Pacific Missile Range Facility (PMRF) located at Barking Sands, HI to support the launch and flight of the GQM-163A Coyote Supersonic Sea Skimming Target (SSST). This includes technical support to Navy personnel regarding changes to facilities and ground installation in order to make them suitable for vehicle integration of the full-up GQM-163A target. GENERAL INFORMATION: Orbital Sciences Corporation is the sole designer, developer, and manufacturer of the Supersonic Sea Skimming Target (SSST) and is the only known qualified, responsible source that possesses the necessary knowledge, experience, and technical data required to fulfill the requirements specified.
