Description
Solicitation and Scope of Work for Operation, Maintenance and Repair of the Combined Heat and Power plant at 201 Varick Street. Standard Form 33 The General Services Administration's Manhattan Acquisition Unit is hereby requesting the submission of proposals to perform operation, maintenance, repair (replace components as necessary) services for the Combined Heat and Power Plant (CHP), also known as the Cogeneration Plant, in the Federal Building located at 201 Varick Street, New York, New York. The plant consists of four, 400kW, natural gas, synchronous engine generator sets for a 1,600 kW CHP system that can generate power for the Facility in parallel with the Con Edison electrical supply. It can also provide thermal energy in the form of low pressure steam to the building in parallel with the Con Edison steam supply. The CHP units produce 45 PSI steam through modularized waste heat recovery boilers. There are two (2) Heat Recovery Hot Water Generators located in the CHP area that recover condensate. Jacket water will also be used to heat domestic hot water when condensate is not available. There are eight (8) radiators/condensers for the jacket water and intercooler installed on the roof. Flues from each of the CHP units are combined into one large stack which will be installed in an existing boiler chimney. High temperature, zero-leak exhaust valves are used to isolate the exhaust systems for each of the units. Proposals must cover the provision of labor and material to operate, maintain, and repair (replace components as necessary) the entire CHP plant for a two month period with an option to extend for an additional period of one month in accordance with the attached Solicitation and Scope of Work. The documents attached to this FedBizOpps posting comprise the official solicitation and scope of work and should be referenced when responding to this opportunity.
