- NSN 7R-5895-015040407-CC, IAW REF NR 1008939G-5, QTY 15 EA, DELIVERY FOBORIGIN, ISSUE TO BAE SYSTEMS INFORMATION &, GREENLAWN, NY 11740-1606. Thisnotice of intent is not a request for competitive quotes and theproposed/contract action is for supplies or services for which the Governmentintends to negotiate with only one source. Interested persons may identify theirinterest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit quotes. Quotesreceived prior to the award date will be considered by the Government.Adetermination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based uponresponses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the government.Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose ofdetermining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. This part requiresengineering source approval by the design control activity in order to maintainthe quality of the part. Existing unique design capability, engineering skills,and manufacturing knowledge by the qualified source(s) require acquisition ofthe part from the approved source(s). The approved source(s) retain data rights,manufacturing knowledge, or technical data that are not economically availableto the Government, and the data or knowledge is essential to maintaining thequality of the part. An alternate source must qualify in accordance with thedesign control activity's procedures, as approved by the cognizant Governmentengineering activity. The qualification procedures must be approved by theGovernment engineering activity having jurisdiction over the part in theintended application. -SEE NOTES 9, 26
