- The Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center, Augusta GA, VISN 7, contemplates negotiation of a sole source procurement with GE Medical Systems, 3000 North Grandview Blvd, Waukesha WI for preventive maintenance and repair service for GE equipment; GE OPTIMA NX SPECT imaging system, including Genie computer with display, collimators, gating devices, DISCOM interfaces, electrocardiograph cables and communication links between systems and printers for the VA Medical Center, Charleston SC. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code for this procurement is 811219 with a size standard of $7.0 million. This Notice of Intent is NOT a request for competitive proposals. However, the government will consider all proposals received within 3 days after publication of this synopsis. Interested parties may identify their interest and capability by submitting literature, detailing how their products/services meet VA requirements, to the Contracting Officer by fax 478-274-5588. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. A determination by the Government not to compete with this proposed contract based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the government.
