- The US Army Aviation & Missile Command is seeking information from sources that feel they are capable of providing technical, engineering and logistics services and supplies for Corpus Christi Army Depot (CCAD) to support overhaul, repair and recapitalization of the T-55 Family of Turbine Engines & Components. The contractor will provide technology insertion, modernization of components, obsolescence management, and test and support equipment upgrades for the T-55 Family of Turbine Engines. The contractor will provide AMCOM depot maintenance engineering with technical and engineering assistance. The contractor again shall provide technology insertion, modernization of components, obsolescence management and test and support equipment upgrades for T-55 engine and components. The contractor shall provide the AMCOM Contracting Center with depot maintenance engineering with technical and engineering assistance based on the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) product design and logistics database. The contractor shall develop workscope and process improvement recommendations in support of the overhaul and repair functions to reduce and maintain depot RTAT to 100 days or less. The contractor shall assist and advise CCAD in establishing best commercial practices in the areas of production planning, production control, materials management and process engineering. The contractor shall provide logistical support functions in inventory management of spare parts associated with the T-55 engine and components by procuring 100 percent of the parts required in overhaul. In addition, the contractor will be responsible for the development of overhaul and workstation material kits to streamline CCAD engine and component production to ensure availability of all component spare parts required to assure reduction in RTAT. However, requirement determination will remain a function of Government personnel at AMCOM. Complete and adequate data is not available to support full and open competition. This effort is sole source to Honeywell International Inc. (Honeywell), Defense & Space, 1300 W. Warner Road, Tempe, Arizona who is the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM). Any interested parties may submit a response to the POC which shall be considered by the Agency. The period of performance for this effort is five program years. All responses must be received by Oct 20, 2009. Oral communications in response to this notice are not acceptable. Please include your business status (Large, Small, Small Disadvantaged, Woman-owned, etc.) and indicate any intellectual property rights issues pursuant to your product. This synopsis is for information and planning purposes only and is not to be construed as a commitment by the Government, nor will the Government pay for information solicited. Respondents will not be notified of the results of the evaluation. Respondents deemed fully qualified will be considered in any resultant solicitation for this requirement.
