- Description
- This is a NOTICE OF INTENT for sole source procurement of a six month pilot project to test the viability of a unified GUI viewer with the capability for context management and single-sign on components. This pilot project is being run at Camp Pendleton's Naval Hospital Facility. The Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of Section 4202 Clinger Cohen Act of 1996, as set forth in FAR Part 6.302-1, only one responsible source and no other services will satisfy agency requirements. CareFx of Scottsdale, AZ is currently the only known source willing to provide a no-cost six month pilot of their unified GUI viewer. This announcement constitutes the only notice of intent. The Department of Navy (DoN), Bureau of Medicine and Surgery, Camp Pendleton, and FISCN Philadelphia intend to negotiate on a sole source basis with CareFx. The period of performance for this pilot will not exceed six months. If the pilot program is considered successful and the government decides to implement the solution, a competitive Request for Proposals will be issued with the details of the requirement. The goal of DoN is to determine whether or not the unified GUI solution, which takes information from multiple data sources and places it on one customizable screen, will positively affect quality of care, enhance the patient-provider interaction, and increase productivity due to a reduced log-in/search time. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement by sending challenges to Leanne Hanger at leanne.hanger@navy.mil. This notice of intent is NOT a request for competitive proposals; however, all challenges to this sole source determination received within 5 days after date of publication of this synopsis will be considered by the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
