The Department of Interior, U.G. Geological Survey (USGS), intends to issue a Task Order under established Indefinite Delivery-Indefinite Quantity contract number 08CRCN0053 awarded to Synergetics Incorporated. The project described below is within scope of the existing contract, which was originally awarded on a competitive basis. THIS OPPORTUNITY IS AVAILABLE ONLY TO THE INCUMBANT CONTRACTOR. The Task Order issued against aforementioned contract is as follows: Contract/Order # G09PD01815, Fixed Price Level of Effort Dollar Value of This Action is $67,776.97. Period of Performance is seven and one half months from task order award and Place of Performance is on-site USGS facility in Golden, Colorado. This task contains aspects of research and development. The development and production of the National Earthquake Information Center (NEIC) system will follow an "iterative" model. A series of interim systems will be produced, demonstrating various features of the target system. These will be operated, and the experience gained will be used to guide subsequent development efforts. The contractor shall design and create computer software systems and develop new state of the art techniques and algorithms for NEIC Bulletin Hydra and Graphic User Interfaces.
