- Description
- The US Fish and Wildlife Service, Region 2-Southwest, is preparing to issue a solicitation No. 20181-9-Q036 for the removal and installation of a new metal roofing system on an existing structure at the Laguna Acosta National Wildlife Refuge 13 miles East of Rio Hondo, Texas along FM 106. Specific requirements for this project shall be outlined within the statement of work within the solicitation documents and shall include, but is not limited to, the removal of a roofing system (as identified with the specifications) and the installation of structure support and a standing seam metal roof system per specifications on a National Wildlife Refuge Visitor Center including press-plate trusses, bracing, and plywood. Roof system must meet Texas Department of Insurance standards and be inspected by a licensed TDI windstorm inspector. In accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation Part 36.204, the magnitude of this project is between $25,000 and $100,000. The North American Industry Classification Code for this Requirement is: 238160, Roofing Contractors with a small business size standard of $14M. The Product Service Code is: Z111, maintenance/repair-alteration/office buildings. This requirement is a 100% small business set-aside. Project completion date is anticipated to be approximately December 31, 2009, if award is made following issuance of solicitation. When posted, the statement of work and specifications, along with any related documents, will be available for download via the National Business Center (NBC) website at: http://ideasec.nbc.gov/j2ee/login.jsp. Vendors may utilize the quick search box to access the solicitation by entering the solicitation number 201819Q029. The posted solicitation documents will also be available via the Federal Business Opportunities website at www.fbo.gov where this announcement is posted. A written solicitation will not be issued. All interested parties wishing to quote on this project must be actively registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) to participate.
