- Description
- This contract action was not awarded as a fixed price type because uncertainties involved in contract performance did not permit costs to be estimated with sufficient accuracy to use any type of fixed price contract. As such, a cost-reimbursement type action was awarded (FAR 16.301-2). Furthermore, the Contractor is responsible for the complete inspection, maintenance and repair of all project buildings and structures in 12 recreation areas, three operation areas, the Woodruff/Seminole Site Management Office, Jim Woodruff Powerhouse, as well as all equipment and vehicles used to support the effort to include the following requirements: 1) Energy Improvements at the Site Management Office, 2) Install Electric Service for River Junction Campsites, 3) Install Water Service at River Junction Campsites, 4) Upgrade Water System at East bank Campground, 5) Install Water Service and Connection to Municipal Water at Hales Landing, 6) Provide Maintenance Upgrades at Maintenance Compound, 7) Re-Roof Lock Operators Building, and 8) Connect High Efficiency Street Lights at all Public Use Areas to Public Power. The scheduling, coordination, quality assurance and/or subcontracting for the work to be performed are within the scope of the original contract technical provisions and must be accomplished under the terms of the existing contract. The incumbent contractor not only has the management, technical, and administrative skills necessary to efficiently and effectively accomplish this work at a reasonable cost, but also, the advantage of the flexibility to readily adjust to any unforeseen obstacles encountered during installation.
