Description
This contract action was accomplished using other than competitive procedures because there is only one responsible source due to standardization requirements, and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. (FAR 6.302-1). See posted J&A for further information. The WARNG located at Camp Murray, WA 98430 intends to award a Firm Fixed Price purchase order by other than full and open competition in accordance with Subpart 6.302-1 (a)(2)(ii). Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. This notice is not a request for competitive proposals. Award will be made to Federal Prison Industry (FPI) - Unicor for office furniture for the Washington National Guard. Unicor is the only furniture company that can supply the needed furniture since we are matching existing. This notice is not a request for competitive proposals. A determination not to compete this procurement was made because Unicor is the only authorized company that can match already existing furniture. Questions should be directed to Kenneth R. Chapman in writing via email to: kenneth.r.chapman@us.army.mil or via facsimile at (253) 512-8009. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotes or proposals. However, the Government will consider all capability statements received by 12:00 P.M., 2 September 2009. Any response to this notice must show clear and convincing evidence that competition would be advantage by the Government in future procurements. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
