- Justification sole source THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS. This is a notice of intent to award a sole source contract in accordance to FAR 6.302-1(a)(2), authorized or required by statue. Customs and Border Protection, U.S. Border Patrol, Tucson Sector Warehouse requires a Package Tracking Sofware by Pitney Bowes to include the following: T5XE Arrival Extended Edition, Software only, T5F2 Background Import Feature, T5F3 File Link/Scan Link/Global Update, T530 J782 Non-Contact Programmable Wedge Scanner, T534 1 E05 Laser Printer, T536 J645 4in. Adhesive Label Printer, Tracking Assistant Plus Win Mobile, T790002 Four Bay Cradle Kit for T741 Tracking Assistant, T514 Basic Operator Training – 4 hours on site. T5A1 Software Maintenance, T5P4 2.8 Ghz Pent 4, 512 MB RAM, 40 GB HD, CDRW, WinXP Prof, PCI Expander card, 100Mb, Network Card, Keyboard & Mouse, T6P2 Installation Project, T5FG Route Activity Logging Feature, T885022 Compaq 15 in. Flat Panel Display, also include Maintenance agreement and software updates. The Period of Performance is Sepember 16, 2009 through August 31, 2013 (Base year plus 3 option years). The estimated value including all options is $45,216.00 Pitney Bowes, Inc. is the only company that can provide the required lease to purchase for this equipment. A delivery order will be issued for this requirement. This specific system is available exclusively through the manufacturer and no other source maintains the specifications required for mail package tracking. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. A determination by the Government not to compete with this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. No solicitation document is available. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this acquisition is 333298 and the size standard is 500.
