- This acquisition is for water softener system w/twin alternating design 200 GPM, Model 2AR5460, 2 each, 54" dia X 60" Straight side Carbon steel ASME non-code tanks, internal epoxy lined, exterior finish paint., 3" inlet and outlet connections, Galvanized piping external, Internal piping stainless steel brine distributor, 3" PVC, bottom mount hub and lateral under drain, 16 laterals per vessel " X 24" long, valves are Aquamatic diaphragm valves for service inlet, service outlet and all control valves cast iron, single samples cock after each vessel filter, control are NEMA 4X FG control panel, Aquamatic 958 series controller, sea metrics 1P101B paddlewheel flow sensor, media is 53 cubic feet resin, Purolite C-100 Na cation, 900 lbs of 6 X 14 mesh gracel support bed per vessel, Brine tank 60" dia. X 46"Height, aquamatic 1 " plastic diaphragm valve on brine tank, 1 "PVC brine eductor. The Simplified Acquisition procedures will be utilized. A Firm Fixed Price Contract is anticipated. The FSC code is 4620 and the NAICS code is 238220. The requiring activity is the Naval Ophthalmic Support and Training Activity, Yorktown, Virginia (NOSTRA). This office will no longer issue a hard copy of the Request for Quote (RFQ); therefore, a copy can be obtained from website http://www.neco.navy.mil. The RFQ will be posted on 09/16/09 with closing date of 9/25/2009. By submitting an offer, the vendor is self-certifying that neither the requestor nor the principal corporate officials and owners are currently suspended, debarred, or otherwise ineligible to receive contracts from any federal agency. Failure to do so may represent grounds for refusing to accept the offer. By submission of an offer, the contractor acknowledges the requirement that a prospective awardee must be registered in the CCR database prior to award, during performance, and through final payment of any contract resulting from this RFQ, except for awards to foreign vendors for work to be performed outside the United States. Lack of registration in the CCR database will make a contractor ineligible for award.
