- TECHNOLOGY RESEARCH AND BUSINESS OPPORTUNITY FOR RADIATION DETECTION, NUCLEAR SAFEGUARDS, ACTIVE AND PASSIVE NEUTRON AND GAMMA INTERROGATION Opportunity : Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory (LLNL) operated by the Lawrence Livermore National Security, LLC (LLNS) under contract no. DE-AC52-07NA27344 (Contract 44) with the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE), is a national security laboratory managed as a government-owned, contractor-operated (GOCO), federally funded research and development center (FFRDC). LLNL is seeking industrial partner(s) to assist in further development and commercialization of its technologies in the areas of radiation detection, nuclear safeguards, as well as active and passive neutron and gamma interrogation. LLNL expertise and capabilities are available on a nonexclusive basis subject to DOE requirements and priorities, and subject to complementary research interests with LLNL. As an FFRDC, LLNL will be bound by fairness of opportunity requirements and Federal Acquisition Regulations (FARs). Parties interested in partnering with LLNL should provide a written statement of interest, which includes the following information: 1. Company Name and address 2. The name, address, telephone number, and email of a point of contact •3. A description of corporate expertise and facilities relevant to the technical topic areas •4. Interdisciplinary research and development capabilities for radiation detection, nuclear safeguards, as well as active and passive neutron and gamma interrogation •5. Published and Peer Reviewed Technical Papers relating to research in the subject matter •6. Experience with Safety Act Certification process •7. Experience working with a DOE National Laboratory •8.
