- Market Research Questionairre-Computer Software Education Services THIS IS A SOURCES SOUGHT ANNOUNCEMENT ONLY - Solicitations are not available at this time. This notice does not constitute a commitment by the government. The Federal Bureau of Prisons has a future requirement for Computer Software Specialist Education Program Services to be provided for inmates at the Federal Correctional Institution located at Memphis, TN. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code is 611310 (Size Standard: $7.0 million). The requirement will be for an accredited college level education program to include one or more instructors on-site at the facility to provide services for three (3) semesters per contract year. The fall and spring semesters will each cover an estimated 20 weeks of classes and the summer semester an estimated 10-12 weeks of classes yearly. The individual instructor(s) will not exceed 30 sessions of service per week with a session being defined as one (1) hour in duration. There will be a minimum of 20 inmate student participating in the program per contract year with the goal of obtaining the equivalent of a one (1) year/24 hour certification in the subject area. The classes will normally be scheduled between the hours of 8:30 a.m. and 3:40 p.m. Monday through Friday and between the hours of 7:30 a.m. and 3:40 p.m. on Saturdays. The hours may vary contingently upon the needs of the institution. Instructors should possess, at a minimum, a Master's Degree in Computerized Business Education or closely related field from an accredited college or university. Instructors must have a minimum of three (3) years classroom teaching experience. Proof of qualification must accompany the quote submitted for services. Course classes must be accredited and eligible for transfer. The contract period shall consist of a 12 month base period with four (4) 12 month option periods for renewal. A Government solicitation document to provide these services is currently being developed, and a contract may or may not result. Market research is being conducted at this time for the purpose of determining interest and capability of potential sources currently available for this requirement. All information submitted in response to this announcement is voluntary. The Government will not pay for information requested nor will it compensate any respondent for any cost incurred in developing information provided to the Government. The Market Survey Questionnaire will be available on or about September 30, 2009 and will be distributed solely through General Service Administration's Federal Business Opportunities web site at http://www.fedbizopps.gov/. The site provides downloading instructions. All future information about this acquisition, including solicitation and/or amendments, will be distributed solely through this site. Interested parties are responsible for monitoring this site to ensure that they have the most up-to-date information regarding this acquisition. Faith-Based and Community-Based Organizations can submit offers/bids/quotations equally with other organizations for contracts for which they are eligible. The response date for the market survey is October 15, 2009. No collect calls will be accepted. No telephone request or written requests for the market survey will be accepted.
