Description
Department of Veterans Affairs, Office of Construction and Facilities Management (CFM), Washington, DC is issuing this Sources Sought to identify potential small, bondable, and experienced businesses such as: (1) Service-Disabled Veteran Owned Small Businesses (SDVOSB): (2) Veteran Owned Small Businesses (VOSB); (3) 8(a) contractors, (4) HUBZone Small Businesses, (5) Women Owned Small Businesses (WOSB), (6) and/or Small Disadvantaged Businesses (SDB) that are capable of meeting this construction requirement. The construction need is relative to Project No. 892CM2022 entitled Fort Rosecrans National Cemetery Expansion at Miramar in San Diego, California. This project will develop approximately 11,000 pre-placed concrete crypts, 2,500 in-ground cremation sites, a 10,000 niche columbarium and 500 traditional gravesites. The project will develop approximately 42 acres to include: a committal shelter; walks; road system; utilities; signage; site furnishings; utility distribution system and landscaping. The estimated cost range for this project is between $20,000,000 and $50,000,000. The applicable North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) is 237990 and the small business size standard is $33.5 Million. The award of a firm fixed-price construction contract is anticipated. Interested bondable small businesses having the skills and capabilities necessary to perform the stated requirements are invited to provide information to contribute to this sources sought announcement. Responses must include the following information: (1) Company name, address, point of contact with phone number and e-mail address; (2) Business size determination and qualifying small business status; (3) Bonding capacity (from surety); and (4) Construction experience of similar projects in size, scope and dollar amount (minimum 3). You are required to E-mail your responses to the Contracting Officer (Gregory Sabater) at Gregory.M.Sabater@va.gov no later than 4:00 pm EDT on October 20, 2009, and in the subject line state Fort Rosecrans National Cemetery and Company Name. Please note that this is not a request for proposal (RFP) and the government is only seeking information for market research purposes only. The government may or may not issue solicitation documents.
