Description
Work consists of constructing containment berms and filling within these berms using material dredged from Lake Boudreau in Terrebonne Parish, Louisiana, in order to create marsh. Settlement of the dredged material will be monitored using grade stakes. The method of placement shall be such that containment berms remain intact with no damage to levee or foreshore. Also included in this work is dewatering, surveys, and minor amounts of establishment of turf. Contractor to provide spillboxes on temporary berm cuts used to control flow to dewater mitigation areas. The Period of Performance is 180 days after NTP. The estimated value of this work is between $5,000,000 and $7,000,000.00. This is a total Small Business set-aside. NAICS Code: 237990 which has a size standard of $20 million. This requirement is being procured as a Firm-Fixed Price type contract under FAR 14, Sealed Bidding. Site visit is scheduled for November 3, 2009. The solicitation will be issued on or about October 23, 2009, with a bid opening on November 23, 2009 on FedBizOpps at www.fbo.gov. The Government will not provide written paper copies of the solicitation. Telephone, written, facsimile, or e-mail requests for the solicitation package will not be honored. Potential offerors MUST register on FedBizOpps at www.fbo.gov/ in order to receive notification(s) and/or change(s) to the solicitation. The Interested Vendors List (IVL) will be activated and may be accessed and printed from the FedBizOpps web site.
