- This is a Pre-Soliciation/Advance Notice DESCRIPTION OF WORK An Invitation for Bid in electronic format only will be available for download on or about October 20, 2009 at www.fbo.gov. No disks shall be mailed. Any resulting contract will be firm-fixed priced. The North American Industrial Classification System code is 237990, which has a size standard of $3 3.5 million in average annual receipts. Joint ventures must be also registered in CCR as a joint venture and ORCA at www.orca.gov. We advise contractors begin this process as soon as possible should they be selected for the award. The requirement for the submission of both performance and payment bonds, in an amount equivalent to 100% of the award price and bid guarantee for 20% of the bid price or $3,000,000 whichever is less shall be applicable. Therefore, the successful firm shall have the capability to acquire such bonding. In addition a bid guarantee is also required. The Davis-Bacon Act will apply. DESCRIPTION OF WORK: Scope is to Perform maintenance dredging of an estimated 30,000 cubic yards at Nome Harbor, Nome Alaska. The Contractor will furnish all labor, equipment, supplies and materials to accomplish the work. The period of work is from Ice Out 2010 to July 31, 2010 (FY2010); Ice Out 2011 to July 31, 2011 (FY2011); and Ice Out 2012 to July 31, 2012 (FY2012). The magnitude of this project is $500,000.00 - $1,000,000.00 Type of contract is firm fixed price. The contractor is to furnish all labor, equipment, supplies, materials, permits, supervision, and other items necessary to accomplish this work.
