THIS NOTICE IS PROVIDED FOR INFORMATION PURPOSES ONLY. THIS OPPORTUNITY IS AVAILABLE ONLY TO CONTRACTORS UNDER W52P1J09r0240. This is a Pre-Solicitation Synopsis for the US Army Contracting Command, Rock Island Contracting Center for solicitation W52P1J-09-R-0240, which serves as notification to industry of the procurement of vehicle maintenance, night vision device maintenance, and training services in support of the Iraqi Security Forces (ISF) at various sites within Iraq. The anticipated date for contract award is on/about 17 November 2009. The vehicle maintenance and related services to be procured include the following: maintenance training designed to assist/sustain a given sites maintenance repair personnel, ability to deploy Mobile Support Teams (MST) to ISF locations on an as needed basis to perform light and medium repairs, sustainment of the Class IX Joint Repair Parts Command (JRPC) complex at Taji, bilingual (Arabic / English) capability to ensure smooth interaction with U.S. Government representatives at individual maintenance locations, and training and repair capabilities for Night Vision Devices (NVD) issued to ISF. The initial performance is expected at Al Asad, Baghdad International Airport (BIAP), Taji, and Shaiba within Iraq. The proposed action is for a Cost-Plus-Fixed-Fee (CPFF), sole source contract with AECOM Government Services with a period of performance of nine (9) months from 01 December 2009 through 31 August 2010. This nine-month contract will allow for the continuity of services while this requirement is being competed on a full and open basis, should there be any unforeseen delays in the acquisition process. The NAICS code for this procurement is 811198 (All Other Automotive Repair and Maintenance).
