Description

The Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) intends to enter into sole source negotiations and subsequently award a Firm Fixed Price (FFP) contract to BAE Systems Container Solutions, Inc. This contract will provide for the AGM-154C sympathetic detonation (SD) compliant all-up-round (AUR) container for the FY10 and an Option for FY11 Navy and FMS procurements. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS. This acquisition is being pursued on a sole source basis under the statutory authority of 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1), as implemented by Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 6.302-1, only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. Unless stated herein, no additional information is available. Requests for the same will be disregarded. A determination by the Government not to compete this effort is solely within the discretion of the Government. GENERAL INFORMATION: BAE Systems Container Solutions, Inc. is the sole designer/developer and are the only company with the knowledge, experience and access to the technical data necessary to fulfill the Government's need and meet its schedule requirements. Accordingly, BAE Systems is the only known qualified, responsible source that can fulfill the requirements specified herein. Subcontracting opportunities may be available and should be sought with BAE Systems at the following address: BAE Systems Container Solutions, Inc.,19750 Weld County Road 7, Berthoud, CO 80513-0001. Once NAVAIR finalizes its requirements for the subject effort, a prerequisite for receiving contract award will be registration in the DOD’s Central Contractor Registration (CCR) database. There is no commitment by the Government to issue a solicitation, make an award or awards, or be responsible for any money expended by interested parties before award of a contract for the effort described above.
