Description
The U.S. Army Research, Development and Engineering Command Contracting Center (RDECOMCC) has a requirement for fifty (50) radiation detectors for use on manned and unmanned vehicles using an Ethernet Network. This proposed procurement is a commercial requirement IAW FAR Part 12 that will be advertised as unrestricted. The NAICS code for this procurement is 334519 with the corresponding small business standard of 500 employees. Solicitation number W911SR-10-R-0002 is the number assigned for this effort. The acquisition will be awarded as a single contract on a Firm-Fixed-Price basis with an estimated period of performance of six (6) months. Competitive proposals will be evaluated based on the evaluation criteria set forth in the solicitation. All responsible sources may submit a proposal which shall be considered by the agency. The media through which the Government chooses to issue this solicitation will be the Internet only via the Army Single Face to Industry (ASFI). This solicitation will not be issued in paper. Contractors requests for this solicitation will be performed through the Federal Business Opportunities website (FedBizOpps.gov) www.fbo.gov. The on-line version of the Request for Proposal (RFP) includes all documents of the solicitation package. Amendments, if any, will be posted at the same location as the solicitation. The complete solicitation package, including amendments, should be received and reviewed prior to submitting a response. It is the potential offerors responsibility to monitor the FedBizOpps website on a regular basis for any updates to the solicitation to obtain all amendments and/or other applicable documents. Contractors must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) database to be considered for award of a Federal contract. Information regarding registration can be obtained from the Business Partner Network site in the CCR link at https://www.bpn.gov/ccr/. Contractors are also required to complete online representations and certifications at the Online Representations and Certifications Applications (ORCA) portal at https://orca.bpn.gov/, prior to the RFP closing date. Issuance of solicitation will be on or around 08 October 2009; proposal submission date will be specified in the solicitation.
