- Response to Questions AMENDMENT 4: The purpose of this amendment is to respond to questions posed by interested vendors for this solicitation. Please see attachment titled, "Response to Questions3". This amendment makes no change to the submission date of 16 October 2009. AMENDMENT 3: The purpose of this amendment is to extend the submission date for proposals from 9 October 2009 to 16 October 2009 and respond to a question posed by interested vendors for this solicitation. Please see attachment titled, "Response to Question2". AMENDMENT 2: The purpose of this amendment is to respond to questions posed by interested vendors for this solicitation. Please see attachment titled, "Response to Questions". AMENDMENT 1: The purpose of this amendment is to correct the Solicitation # to read as: HDTRA1-09-R-0022 and to extend the submission date for proposals from 29 Sep 2009 to 9 October 2009. This is a Solicitation Notice for Solicitation Number HDTRA1-09-R-0022. This Request for Proposal (RFP) is issued as a result of sources sought notice - Solicitation Number: CSC090012069 posted October 14, 2008. The Defense Threat Reduction Agency (DTRA) plans to release a Request for Proposal on FedBizOpps on or before September 2, 2009. The DTRA requires an Active / Passive, man-portable metal detector instrument with increased sensitivity capable of detecting individual objects such as solid state electronic components and assembled circuit boards. This instrument will incorporate existing detector technologies into a compact, light, portable, flexible instrument capable of detecting all metals including those found in board circuitry and useable in a diverse range of operating environments. The detector must be based on current, proven COTs Active / Passive detector technologies. It is anticipated the submitted detector will represent a tailored version of existing COTS hardware with a modified casing / user interface to meet certain requirements. The anticipated contract award will be a single contract with a Period of Performance no longer than eighteen (18) months after contract award. Please reference HDTRA1-09-R-0022 in any response. There are a total of two Attachments. The RFP will be synopsized on FedBizOpps.gov. THIS RFP DOES NOT COMMIT THE GOVERNMENT TO CONTRACT FOR ANY SUPPLY OR SERVICE. THE GOVERNMENT WILL NOT PAY ANY INFORMATION OR ADMINISTRATIVE COSTS INCURRED IN RESPONSE TO THIS RFP. For questions, please contact Ms. Jessica L.
