Description
J066 - Maintenance - Repair of Instruments and Laboratory Equipment Contractor will provide labor, specialized services and travel necessary to maintain a model ST 100S Sterrad Sterilizer in proper working order. Preventive maintenance during the contract year shall include at a minimum, one service call during each quarter, providing a thorough inspection (visual and electrical), testing, adjustment, cleaning, and lubrication, all in accordance with procedures recommended by the manufacturer and making such repairs as may be needed at the time of each visit. 1.PM inspection will be conducted by factory trained service personnel. 2.Maintain equipment in proper operating condition to assure optimum performance and reliability. Provide all labor for equipment inspection, adjustment, lubrication, installation of replacement parts and testing during scheduled preventive maintenance (PM) inspections. All quarterly inspections shall include the following: a.Clean items (remove dirt, rust, spilled solutions, lint and other deposits with proper cleaning equipment and supplies) b.Calibrate items c.Check for missing nuts, bolts, knobs, latches, hatches, catches and other missing hardware d.Consult with operator regarding unit performance e.Lubricate, repair and adjust items per manufacturer's instructions f.Perform other preventive maintenance tasks per the manufacturer's recommendations. 3.Vendor to submit a copy of preventive maintenance procedures conducted to assist this Medical Center in meeting JCAHO requirements. 4.Contractor shall respond to requests for breakdown repairs "same day" within four (4) hours of verbal request, 24 hours per day, 7 days per week by authorized VAMC personnel per the Delegation of Authority furnished the successful Contractor. Contractor shall provide: a.At least three factory-trained representatives who can respond within 4 hours of initial call, with proof of factory training to be provided to this facility. b.Names of references c.Onsite response within 72 hours of initial call d.24 hour telephone support e.365 day/24 hour telephone coverage 5.After each service call the Contractor will provide the Equipment Specialist, Engineering Service, extension 2649, with a report of service to include: a.Machine model and serial number; b.Date, time called and time of arrival; c.Work performed, parts replaced (etc.); d.Reason for service call.
