- Description
- The Information Systems Program (ISP) purchased a high-bandwidth network switch from Woven Systems, Inc. As of May 22, 2009 Woven Systems, Inc. has shut down its operations. The result of this is no new parts are being manufactured for these network switches which leave the ISP vulnerable in the case of equipment failure. The ISP Network and Telecommunications Group must have a plan in place to protect the NCI-Frederick in the event that an equipment failure occurs with the Woven Systems, Inc. network switches. EFX-1000 Chassis switch - This unit provides the most vulnerability to the NCI-Frederick and the Network Group recommends that we purchase a service contract for this unit. The service contract will cover the chassis and all modules in the chassis with 24x7 support for one year. qty. 1 EFX-1000 qty. 8 PCX4 Line Cards qty. 4 XFP Line Cards
