Description
RECOVERY PROJECT-Construction Project No. 656-09-137, entitled 'Replace Carpet in Domiciliary, Building 2'. This solicitation is issued as an IFB (Invitation for Bid) construction project, which is 100% SET ASIDE FOR SMALL BUSINESS firms. All bidders must be registered on www.ccr.gov and https://orca.bpn.gov. The NAICS Code 238330, along with size standard $14 million applies. The procurement is entitled 'Replace Carpet in Domiciliary, Building 2' at the St. Cloud VA Medical Center, in St. Cloud Minnesota. Contractor shall furnish all labor, materials, tools and equipment required to completely and satisfactorily finish the project entitled 'Replace Carpet in Domiciliary, Building 2'. Bids submitted for this project shall include but are not limited to the following items: the phased removal and disposal of existing carpet; floor tile and asbestos-containing material; and the complete phased installation of new carpet, floor tile, base and carpet base as per the contract specifications and drawings. Work is to be completed in accordance with the contract drawings and specifications. There are no bid alternates. Liquidated damages do apply to this project. Potential offerors to note the OSHA training requirements as listed in the General Requirements section. Work cannot commence until VA receives proof of required OSHA training. Any amendments issued to this solicitation will ONLY be available on the FBO website (www.fbo.gov ). NO HARD COPY DOCUMENTS WILL BE AVAILABLE. All project information is available free of charge on the www.fbo.gov website. Bidders are advised that they are responsible for obtaining all amendments. Contract completion time is 120 calendar days after receipt of Notice to Proceed. NO BIDDER'S MAILING LISTS ARE MAINTAINED WITH THE CONTRACTING OFFICER. The only interested vendors list is available on the www.fbo.gov website under this project's solicitation number. The estimated dollar value for this procurement is between $100,000.00 and $250,000.00. NO TELEPHONE QUESTIONS WILL BE ACCEPTED. All questions must be submitted in writing. The solicitation will be issued on/about October 16, 2009.A pre-bid meeting/walkthrough is scheduled for November 3, 2009 at 2PM CT, attendance is not mandatory, but is strongly encouraged. Sealed bid opening is 2:00PM CT (local time) on December 1, 2009. Electronic and faxed bids will NOT be accepted. This project requires the bidders/contractors to secure bonding. Award is subject to the availability of funds.
