- This is a Sources Sought Notice and does not constitute a solicitation for proposal. The U.S. Army Office of the Project Manager Close Combat Systems (OPMCCS) is conducting a market survey to identify potential sources for -- a currently existing Chlorobenzylidenemalononritrile (CS) gas that meets Military Specification, MIL-R-51029 CS Riot Control Agent, which may undergo qualification testing for military use. Interested sources that believe they can meet the above requirements shall provide the U.S. Army the following: 1. A description of their currently existing item and how it meets the requirements in MIL-R-51029, 2. A brief summary of their companys capabilities, manufacturing, and testing. The responses shall identify CS gas manufacturing processes, critical skills and equipment; also identify production capabilities (should include the maximum production rate attainable and minimum sustaining rate). 3. The organizations Facilities, Equipment, Unique Capabilities, Environmental Concerns, Storage, Shipping, Receiving and other Support Functions. 4. The organizations willingness to make available to the government the material sources and certifications along with the Technical Data Package (production drawings and specifications). Responses should further identify the current Business Structure: a. Name of Company -- include a contact person's name, company address, telephone number, email address. b. Company Size (please specify as either Large, Foreign, Small, Small Disadvantaged, 8(a), Woman-Owned Small Business, or Service-Disabled Small Business.) This Market Survey is for planning purpose only and should not be construed as a request for proposal or as an obligation on the part of the U.S. Government. Respondents will not be notified of the results of the survey.
