- The U.S. Army, Army Contracting Command (ACC) Joint Munitions & Lethality(JM&L) Contracting Center, Picatinny Arsenal, NJ 07806-5000, on behalf of the U.S. Army Armament Research Development and Engineering Center (ARDEC) is conducting market research to locate capable firms to provide the U.S. Government with casting services. ARDEC-Picatinny intends to satisfy this requirement by awarding one or multiple Blanket Purchase Agreements (BPAs) with a period of performance of five (5) years. When a Request for Quote is issued, the turnaround time from the date of quote issued to services being provided shall not exceed nine (9) business days as work under this BPA is considered rapid response. The required services include providing castings in one or many of the following materials Aluminum (6XXX, 7XXX, and more the more standard casting alloys), Various Plastics, Titanium, Stainless Steel, Carbon Steel, Acrylic, and Wax. Firms/companies are invited to indicate their interests and capabilities by providing specifications, brochures, manuals, reports, information pertaining to experience on previous projects, specific work previously performed or being performed, any in-house research and development effort, and any other specific and pertinent information as pertains to this particular area of procurement that would enhance our consideration and evaluation of the information submitted. Please advise as to your ability to meet the above mentioned time restricted deadline when responding to this notice. All information is to be submitted via email (10MB limit) at no cost or obligation to the Government; information provided will not be returned. Responses shall also indicate the size of the business entity; large or small and a copy of the most recent ORCA certifications. Please provide the name of your firm, address, POC, phone/fax number, and email address. TELEPHONE INQUIRIES WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED. The Government will accept written questions by email. Interested firms/companies are encouraged to submit their capabilities/qualification data NO LATER THAN OCTOBER 26, 2009. This is a Sources Sought/Market Survey Announcement and submissions will be used for informational and planning purposes only. This notice does not constitute a formal Request for Proposal (RFP)/Request for Quote (RFP), nor is the Government obligated to issue an RFP/RFQ. In addition, the Government does not intend to pay for any information provided under this notice. The Government is not obligated to notify respondents of the results of this survey.
