- RECOVERY-- A PREBID MEETING WILL BE HELD ON 22 OCTOBER 2009, AT 10:00 AM. THE PRE-BID MEETING WILL BE HELD AT LOCK AND DAM NO. 11, DUBUQUE, IOWA. THE MEETING IS TO DISCUSS THE MAJOR REHABILITATION, STAGE IIIB, LOCK AND DAM NO. 11, MISSISSIPPI RIVER, DUBUQUE, IOWA, REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL NO. W912EK-09-R-0078, AND TO PROVIDE AN OPPORTUNITY FOR CONTRACTORS TO VISIT THE SITE. OFFERS ARE ENCOURAGED TO ATTEND THIS PREBID MEETING. HARD HATS ARE REQUIRED. MAKE ARRANGEMENTS AT LEAST 24 HOURS PRIOR TO THE MEETING WITH: Mr. Jodi Bausman U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Central Area Office Telephone No.: 563-386-0572 (Collect calls not accepted). The work includes, but is not limited to, concrete removal and replacement, installation of concrete anchors and reinforcing; fabrication and installation of steel structures such as ladders, hatch grating, and embedded metals; repair of service bridge bearing grout pads; core drilling concrete; reinstallation of lock appurtenances; removal and replacement of grease lines; and miscellaneous electrical work required to accommodate concrete replacement.
