- Description
- The Bureau of Engraving and Printing (BEP) intends to award the purchase of "Preventative Maintenance for two (2) Landis 3RH Grinders, S/N's LT-86749 and LT-89164" to Cinetic Landis Corp. The purchase will be made under FAR part 13. This acquisition will be made under a Justification for Other than Full and Open Competition (JOFOC) as there is only one responsible source. The JOFOC is per FAR part 6.302-1. The Preventative Maintenance for two (2) Landis 3RH Grinders, S/N's LT-86749 and LT-89164 require regular servicing and calibration in order to maintain accuracy, precision and factory specifications. Landis is the original manufacturer of the 3RH Grinders, S/N's LT-86749 and LT-89164. In order to ensure parts compatibility, availability and complete services the BEP intends to award an annual maintenance award to Cinetic Landis Corp. The grinders are utilized in the production of currency plates and are crucial to currency production. As such, short periods of in operation may place currency production at risk. Cinetic Landis Corp has the best knowledge and access to spare parts, with minimal downtime.
