Description
Contractor to provide all labor, materials, supervision and equipment to complete project entitled "Interior Maintenance Employee Locker Room" at the Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center, 2121 North Avenue, Grand Junction, CO 81501. The total scope of work (the Project) includes demolition, remodel of existing spaces, and addition of new space to create new employee shower/dressing facilities, stockroom, expansion of the store, new mechanical space, and general storage for canteen. This comprises the work to be completed for the "Base Bid". There are three deductive alternates as listed on the SF 1442. The VA will choose to deduct any alternate from the scope, and its associated cost based upon available budget. The alternates are listed as deducts from the base bid. THIS PROCUREMENT IS 100% SET-ASIDE FOR SERVICE DISABLED VETERAN OWNED SMALL BUSINESS IN ACCORDANCE WITH PUBLIC LAW 109-461 AS CODIFIED BY 38 USC 8127 AND 8128. NAICS is 236220 and the size standard is $33.5 million. The successful contractor must have a current valid registration in the following websites: http://www.ccr.gov, https://orca.bpn.gov, https://vets100.vets.dol.gov, and http://vetbiz.gov. Bid bond, Performance Bond and Payment Bond will be required. Bid Bond is required with submission of sealed bid. Performance and Payment Bond will be required by the successful contractor 15 days after award of the contract. A site visit is scheduled for October 28, 2009 at 10:00am. Location for the site visit to begin is Building 36 Conference Room, Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center, 2121 North Avenue, Grand Junction, CO 81501. The solicitation documents will be posted to the Federal Business Opportunities website (http://www.fbo.gov) on or about October 20, 2009. Paper solicitations will not be issued. Contractors must submit joint venture agreements with their bid if bidding as a joint venture. Bid opening is scheduled for November 24, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. at the same location as the site visit. In accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulations 36.204 and Veterans Affairs Acquisition Regulations 836.204 the estimated price range for this project is between $500,000.00 and $1,000,000.00.
