- Description
- NRCS-Illinois plans to issue a solicitation for repair of the Gust WRP site, located in Brown County, Illinois, which was completed in 2005 with an in-channel sheet pile drop structure. During the heavy flooding of 2008, the sheet pile structure was damaged beyond repair, and the levee neighboring the structure has been heavily eroded. This project will entail removing the sheet pile structure while salvaging the attached hydraulic cylinder, reshaping the channel to its original condition, and filling and reshaping the damaged levee. Clearing and grubbing to access the site is estimated at 0.3 acres. Sheet pile is 120 feet in length, is 24 feet in length, and was originally driven in the ground from 15-24 feet deep. Earthfill quantity is estimated at 779 cubic yards. Seeding quantity is estimated at 1 acre. The estimated price range is between $25,000 and $100,000. Details regarding the pre-bid meeting will be posted at a later date. The solicitation will be posted at fedbizopps.gov on or about October 19, 2009.
