Description
This project is being conducted in accordance with the American Reinvestment and Recovery Act project (ARRA) requirements. Any resulting contract would be subject to the Recovery Act reporting requirements outlined in FAR (Federal Acquisition Regulation) 52.204-11. The U.S. Coast Guard Surface Forces Logistic Center is seeking qualified sources that can remove older lube oil purifier system onboard CG 378’ WHEC and replace with government furnished Alfa Laval lube oil purifier system: Alfa Laval Heat Pac 16KW Part Number 17661750-08, Alfa Laval Motor starter panel Part Number 1762733-09, Alfa Laval MAWA 10 Alarm system, Part Number 176119080, and Alfa Laval Oil Purifier with feed and discharge pumps and heater piping, Part Number MAB-104. The Coast Guard anticipates awarding a requirements type contract with one (1) base year and one (1) option year. -- Total quantity of 4 installations-- Place of performance Vessels Home Port at the following locations: Charlestown, SC, San Diego, CA, Alameda, CA, Kodiak, AL, and Seattle, WA. --Removal and installation shall be accomplished in accordance with Coast Guard Specification Number I-262-0001, titled 378’ WHEC LUBE OIL PURIFIER PLACEMENT, commercial specifications and marine industry standards. The solicitation will be issued as full and open competition for the removal and installation of all equipment, except Alfa Laval technical representative. Alfa Laval technical representative shall supervise the operational testing of the new purifier. The limitation to use only Alfa Laval Authorized Representative will allow the government to maintain the OEM warranty. The solicitation will be posted on FedBizOpps on or about 9 November 2009. It is the contractor’s responsibility to check FedBizopps on a regular basis for the solicitation and any amendments issued. Contractors shall be registered in the Central Contractors Registration (CCR). To register in CCR go to www.bpn.gov.
