Description
RECOVERY-THIS NOTICE IS PROVIDED FOR INFORMATION PURPOSES ONLY. THIS NOTICE IS NOT A NOTICE FOR SOLICITATION OF OFFERS. THE ACTION DESCRIBED HEREIN IS A MODIFICATION TO AN EXISTING CONTRACT, DOLJ05QA00011. THIS OPPORTUNITY WAS AVAILABLE ONLY TO THE CONTRACTOR IDENTIFIED BELOW. This opportunity was available only to the Career Systems Development Corp., Inc. under contract number DOLJ05QA00011. The Office of the Assistant Secretary for Administration and Management on behalf of the Office of Job Corps has awarded a modification in the amount of $5,042 to the Penobscot Job Corps Center, operated by Career Systems Development Corp., Inc. These funds are provided under the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA). The funding is within the not-to-exceed ceiling for Equipment on this contract. It would have been impracticable to use a fixed price contract to secure services of the kind or quality required for this modification, since the modification was to an existing Cost Plus Incentive Fee contract (Cost Reimbursement Contract). The funding is intended to address the following program initiatives: To procure Education Services, Auto and Construction curriculum pertaining to the development of green training elements/modules in each of the priority areas (Auto, Construction and Manufacturing Technology) of center-operated programs as detailed in Job Corps Curriculum Change Notice 09-01 and Curriculum Change Notice 09-02. The operator of the Penobscot center will utilize these funds to make available additional Career Technical Training opportunities to the students of the Penobscot Job Corps Center. The operator of the Penobscot Job Corps Center will not procure the services through subcontracting opportunities. This modification has been awarded on October 19, 2009.
