- On or about 30 October 2009, this office will issue Invitations for Bid for construction of the FY10 MUNITIONS TRAILER STORAGE, P.N. QJVF102002, MINOT AFB, ND. The bid opening will be on or about 15 December 2009. This solicitation is RESTRICTED TO SMALL BUSINESS PARTICIPATION. NAICS CODE 236220 applies to this solicitation A site visit is scheduled on 24 November 2009 at 1000 hours (local time). NOTE: To participate in the site visit, contractors must notify Resident Engineer Trev Albright at 701-727-6127, FAX: 701-727-6128 no later than noon, Thursday, 12 November 2009. Contractors who do not meet this notification deadline may not participate in the site visit. No exceptions. DO NOT submit requests for plans and specifications to the site visit personnel listed above. See Obtaining Solicitation Documents below. Project Description (Approx. quantities) Construct a new 8,015 SF steel-framed storage facility for MHU196 munitions trailers. Facility will be unoccupied and minimally heated. Project will include reinforced concrete approaches and foundations with floor slab, overhead doors, and all associated utilities. Project is located within the Weapons Storage Area (WSA) and shall comply with DoD AT/FP requirements. The estimated construction cost of this project is between 1.0 and 2.5 million dollars. The Contractor will be required to commence work within 10 days after notice to proceed and complete the construction work within 240 calendar days after receipt of Notice to Proceed. Provisions will be included for liquidated damages in case of failure to complete the work in the time allowed. Performance and payment bonds will be required. Bonding documents including the power of attorney shall bear an original signature by an officer of the surety. Representations and certifications are required to be updated annually as a minimum to keep information current, accurate and complete. The electronic annual representations and certifications are effective until one year from date of submission or update to ORCA.
