- RECOVERY--THIS NOTICE IS PROVIDED FOR INFORMATION PURPOSES ONLY; THEREFORE FAR 5.203 DOES NOT APPLY. The Mobile District intends to issue a Firm-Fixed Price contract for the replacement of six courtesy docks (floating docks) and walkways at West Point Lake Project Office, West Point, Georgia. Utilizing American Recovery and Reinvestment Act funds, this contract will upgrade and add the following: Contractor to provide all materials, supplies, equipment and labor for the construction, delivery and placing into operation courtesy docks at six locations within the West Point Lake Project. The Courtesy Dock locations are: R. Shaefer Heard C/G (Dock and 40 walkway); Glass Bridge Park (Dock & 60 walkway); Holiday C/G (Creek Side) (Dock & 60 walkway); Holiday C/G (River Side) (Dock & 40 walkway); Amity C/G (Dock & 60 walkway); Evansville Park (Dock & 40 walkway). The American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA) contains specific acquisition requirements that must be met when using funds appropriated by the Act. Acquisitions must comply with FAR, and to the maximum extent practicable, be awarded under competitive procedures as fixed-price (FP) contracts.
