Description
THIS IS AN AMERICAN RECOVERY AND REINVESTMENT ACT OF 2009 (ARRA) PROCURMENT The U.S Forest Service, EROC-NW, servicing Region 6 has a requirement for the replacement of a cedar log stringer bridge (MP 1.5) and road repair (MP 1.7) on Forest Road 4021 in the Darrington Ranger District, Mt. Baker-Snoqualmie National Forest. Bridge work includes furnishing and installing a prefabricated bridge superstructure (including concrete sills, backwalls, decking surface, & object markers). The road repair will include shifting the road alignment to get around the slide area. Work includes erosion control and resource protection, clearing and grubbing, removal of existing log stringer bridge, riprap, bridge installation, approach work, excavation and embankment, stream channel restoration, culverts, crushed rock surfacing, hauling of waste material, seeding and mulching, and One Lane Bridge signs. From Granite Falls, WA head North on Alder Ave, which becomes Mtn. Loop Hwy. Continue on Mtn. Loop Hwy for 15.5 miles to Forest Road 4020. Turn right on Forest Road 4020 and follow it for 2.6 miles to Forest Road 4021. Turn right on Forest Road 4021 and follow it for 1.5 miles to the project location A negotiated, firm-fixed price contract is contemplated requiring submissions of both a technical and a price proposal. Award will be made to the Offeror whose proposal offers the best value to the Government. The Government’s estimate is between $100,000.00 and $250,000.00. A bid bond of 20% of bid amount will be required at the time of bid submission. The estimated start work date is July 1st 2010 with contract duration of about 60 days. Contractors are required to be registered with the Central Contract Registration (CCR) and the Online Representations and Certifications Application (ORCA). The Solicitation with specifications and wage rates will be posted to the https://www.fbo.gov/ website on or about November 4th 2009. No hard copies of the solicitation and applicable amendments will be mailed or issued. To receive the Request for Proposal package and any applicable amendments, offerors must download them from the https://www.fbo.gov website.
