Recovery This notice is provided for informational purposes only. NASA Langleyintends to award a task order under Basic Ordering Agreement NNL08AA16B to The BoeingCompany for Systems Level Experimental Validations for Supersonic Commercial TransportAircraft Entering Service in the 2018 2020 Time Period. This competitive action willbe funded by the American Reinvestment and Recovery Act (ARRA). The award results from acompetitive selection under the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA)Headquarters released NASA Research Announcement (NRA) for foundational research insupport of the Aeronautics Research Mission Directorate (ARMD), entitled "ResearchOpportunities in Aeronautics (ROA) 2008 under NNH08ZEA001N, Amendment 7, SupersonicsProject (SUP3). The Supersonics Project is a broad based effort designed to developknowledge, capabilities and technologies that support all vehicles that fly in thesupersonic speed regime. Key elements of the project include the development of systemsconcepts and the completion of systems studies. These studies are used to identifypotential requirements for future supersonic aircraft; assessment of the effectiveness ofthe project's current technology portfolio and the identification of new research andtechnology opportunities. The referenced solicitation is a broad agency announcement asspecified in FAR 35.016 and NFS 1835.016.
