- FOR MORE INFORMATION CONTACT: Matthew Eberhardt, Production Engineer, x75146 Timothy Langan, Electronics Engineer (SCEP), x27875 Sources sought to provide the government with the Universal Joint NON (NSN: 5840-00-555-7322) and the Diplexer (NSN: 5985-01-109-5615). Both of these are used in the AN/FPN-40, Radar Set (NSN: 5840-00-752-0603). The last known suppliers of these are ITT Corporation, Cage Code: 24930. The Mfg P/N of the Universal Joint NON (NSN: 5840-00-555-7322) is 79191. The Mfg P/N for the Diplexer (NSN: 5985-01-109-5615) is G300417-1. The Diplexer has also been supplied by Rockwell Collins Deutschland GMBH (Cage: D9853), Mfg P/N: 7208-1K21C1; CPI International Inc. Communication (Cage: C5845), Mfg P/N: VDX-1314A; and Communications and Power Industries Inc. (Cage: 88236), Mfg P/N: VDX1148 and VDX1314A. The Government requires a total of 9 of the Universal Joint NON (NSN: 5840-00-555-7322) for a 1 year buy and 9 for a 5 year buy. The government requires a total of 2 of the Diplexer (NSN: 5985-01-109-5615) for a 1 year buy and 2 for a 5 year buy. The Government does not possess specifications and/or detailed drawings for these parts to be procured. The Government can provide interested sources with the parts to be reverse engineered. Suppliers who are capable of delivery of this item should contact the government before November 30th 2009. Submissions can be sent to matthew.eberhardt@us.army.mil and timothy.langan@us.army.mil. Responses must include documentation the supplier can provide the army with a physically and functionally interchangeable unit from the previous supplier. Examples of such documentation can be test results, copy of purchase order if the supplier was a vendor to the listed source, or a statement from listed source demonstrating that the supplier can provide the army with an interchangeable unit. Suppliers may have to warrant that the unit will perform satisfactorily when used in the intended purpose of the army.
