- Synopsis: Contract modification was awarded on October 23, 2009. RECOVERY—THIS NOTICE IS PROVIDED FOR INFORMATION PURPOSES ONLY. THIS NOTICE IS NOT A NOTICE FOR SOLICITATION OF OFFERS. THE ACTION DESCRIBED HEREIN IS A MODIFICATION TO AN EXISTING CONTRACT, DOLJ07UA00014. THIS OPPORTUNITY WAS AVAILABLE ONLY TO THE CONTRACTOR IDENTIFIED BELOW. This opportunity was available only to Applied Technology Systems, Inc. under contract number DOLJ07UA00014. The Office of the Assistant Secretary for Administration and Management on behalf of the Office of Job Corps has awarded a modification in the amount of $3,184 to the Jacksonville Job Corps Centers, operated by Applied Technology Systems, Inc. These funds are provided under the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA). The funding is within the not-to-exceed ceilings for this contract. It would have been impracticable to use a fixed price contract to secure services of the kind or quality required for this modification, since the modification was to an existing Cost-Plus Incentive Fee contract (Cost Reimbursement Contract). The funding is intended to address the following program areas: 1) Career Technical Training Educational Services curriculum and 2) Equipment for the CTT Education Services as detailed in Job Corps Curriculum Change Notice 09-01 and Curriculum Change Notice 09-02. The operator of the Jacksonville center will utilize these funds to make available additional Career Technical Skills Training opportunities to the students of the Jacksonville Job Corps Center. The operator of the Jacksonville Job Corps Center will not procure the services through subcontracting opportunities.
