Description
This synopsis is being posted to both the Federal Business Opportunities (FBO) website located at http://www.fbo.gov, the Navy Electronic Commerce on Line (NECO) website located at https://www.neco.navy.mil/, and the Naval Surface Warfare Center, Crane Division, Acquisition website located at http://www.crane.navy.mil/acquisition/homepage.htm. FBO is the primary point of entry to be used when access to synopses and solicitations from the World Wide Web is required. However, the NECO webpage as well as the Naval Surface Warfare Center, Crane Division, Acquisition webpage serve as alternatives if the FBO website is unavailable. Naval Surface Warfare Center Crane Division has a requirement for repair and maintenance of fielded Rapiscan Model 522WP X-Ray Baggage Scanners. Offerors must be certified by the OEM to provide required annual maintenance, distance support and on-site repair specifically for the 522WP model. On-site repairs and calibration tests are to be completed within 30 days of the initial service call. Repairs will primarily take place at various ship homeports throughout the United States with a couple locations in Japan. It is anticipated this action will result in a five-year firm fixed price (FFP) supply type Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract. This requirement shall be governed by FAR Part 12, "Acquisition of Commercial Items", and FAR Subpart 13.5, "Test Program for Certain Commercial Items". The minimum/maximum quantity to be procured under this contract will be 1/210 units. Each per unit service agreement shall be valid for a period of 12 months. Award will be made competitively based upon price and past performance. The contractor must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration database, located at www.ccr.gov. The solicitation will be available on or about 2 Nov 2009 at the three websites listed above.
