Description
The U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs, VISN 9 Acquisition Center, Murfreesboro, TN, is seeking to award a single contract for boiler maintenance that include all installed boiler controls, inspection, calibrations and required services at the VA Medical Center in Nashville TN. Contract period will begin on or about December 1, 2009 or date of award through September 30, 2010. A contract with a base year and four (4) option years is contemplated. Contractor shall be available to perform boiler testing services during the months of October, January, April, and July will consist of a minimum of five (5) days each at the job site. Scheduling is considered an utmost priority as patient services are affected during these maintenance periods and have to be coordinated well in advance with VA Medical Staff personnel. Vendors should be familiar with and fully capable of performing required service in accordance with VHA Boiler Plant Safety Device Testing Manual Third Edition, Department of Veterans Affairs VHA DIRECTIVE 2008-062 Veterans Health Administration Washington, DC 20420 October 15, 2008 as well as other pertinent Boiler calibration technical documentation. Contractor shall have Certified Autoflame Control Panel technicians working on this equipment. All details will be contained within the solicitation (and detailed Statement of Work), which will be released on or about November 3, 2009. The North American Industrial Classification Code (NAICS) is 561210 and the size standard is $35.5 million, this acquisition will be issued on an unrestricted basis.
